Tourism Experiential Learning through Academic Fieldtrips in Higher Education

The professionalization of tourism education through experiential learning by fieldwork should be a key aspect sustainable development strategies. Based on the previous statement, aim this research is to develop experience an academic field trip in Copper Canyon, with purpose generating practical situation that serves as strategy and practice sustainability syllabus Tourism Planning at Autonomous University Ciudad Juarez. An experimental methodology was implemented students (n=26) from advanced level program participated trip, mixed methods empirical theoretical types were applied. During activity, geospatial approach applied study destination interpreting production process space, well as, recognition model, inventory assessment tourist resources, analysis impacts. results allowed for comprehension justification contribution formation knowledge, incorporating trips experiences learning.
